Michigan State football might have been robbed of a crucial turnover.

And it benefitted rival Michigan .

On third-and-8 from the MSU 21-yard line with 12:46 left in the third quarter and Michigan State down 10-7, Spartans cornerback Malcolm Bell blitzed Michigan quarterback Bryce Underwood, forcing a strip sack that linebacker Jordan Hall recovered, giving the ball back to the Spartans.

Except the referees called the play back, calling an offsides penalty on Bell.
