ORONO -- The Maine Black Bears came away with a big comeback win in overtime vs the Colgate Raiders on Saturday night.

In the first period, it was the Raiders who got things started offensively, as Jack Brandt scored not one, but two goals to give Colgate an early advantage.

In the second period with a power play opportunity, the captain Thomas Freel put Maine on the board with a sweet shot from a low angle to pull the Black Bears within one.

Maine would score another in the third to force overtime, and that's when junior forward Max Scott snagged the puck away from a Raiders defender and fired one into the net to give the Black Bears the 3-2 victory.

Maine will take on Boston University at home next Friday and Saturday in a must see matchup.
