Former Bihar minister Tej Pratap Yadav became the latest addition to a list of leaders continuing to promise a range of schemes or measures if elected to power in the upcoming Bihar assembly polls. The former Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader promised a cricket stadium and an India-Pakistan match in Mahua assembly constituency if he wins from this seat.

Tej Pratap, who was expelled from the RJD by his father Lalu Prasad Yadav in May and floated his own party, the Janshakti Janata Dal (JJD), asserted that he faced no competition in Mahua, where he made his electoral debut from Mahua on an RJD ticket in 2015.
