West Essex dug out a 13-point hole after the first quarter against Morris Knolls with a 20-point effort in the second and held the lead for the rest of the game as it earned a 39-26 victory in Rockaway.

Entering Week 8 ranked fourth in the North 3 super-section, West Essex’s win secured at least one home game to begin its sectional playoff run as the Knights look to capture a second sectional title in three years.
