Saturday night update: Calm and quiet weather continues across the CSRA tonight, with clouds starting to move in ahead of our next system to the west. Temperatures will drop into the mid 40s by daybreak, a little milder than recent nights thanks to that cloud cover holding in some warmth.

Sunday marks the beginning of a notable change. A mid-level closed low will slide eastward from the Southern Plains, and southerly flow ahead of it will begin pumping moisture in. Throughout the day the skies will gradually cloud up, and by late afternoon into Sunday night, showers will spread across the area. Most of the day will remain dry, but highs will only climb into the upper 60s owing to increased cloud cover and the breezy low-level easterly flow keeping a shallow cool air mass in place.
