The Odisha government on Sunday intensified preparedness efforts to deal with the potential impact of Cyclone ‘Montha’, holding discussions with all concerned departments to ensure a coordinated response across the state.

Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Suresh Pujari said that district collectors have been directed to assist neighboring districts if needed and to ensure seamless coordination with various departments. The Energy Department has been instructed to maintain uninterrupted power supply, with backup systems in place to sustain essential services such as hospitals, emergency operations, and drinking water facilities.
