DURHAM, N.C. (WTVD) -- Two women were injured in a shooting at a large party Saturday night in Durham.

Authorities confirmed that neither victim was an NC Central University student.

Durham police assisting NCCU officers were dispersing a large party on Pekoe Avenue around 10:45 p.m. when gunshots were fired.

One woman had non-life-threatening injuries and the woman's injuries were more severe, according to police.

Both were taken to the hospital. Police haven't released their exact condition or identities.

The investigation is ongoing.
