GRATIOT, Wis. -- Authorities reported a 60-year-old woman involved in a UTV rollover on Friday has died.

Lisa A. McCaughey, 60, died at UW Hospital in Madison. The sheriff's office said she was not wearing a helmet at the time of the rollover and suffered a severe head injury.

The crash occurred at a residence on State Highway 11 in the Town of Gratiot just after 9 p.m.

An investigation determined that a 2022 Polaris UTV being operated by a 57-year-old Gratiot man overturned while being operated at the home.

Two other passengers, a 61-year-old Illinois woman, and a 61-year-old Kansas man reported minor injuries and were not transported.

The sheriff's office said alcohol and careless operation appear to be contributing factors to the crash.
