PITTSBURGH —

A toddler was taken to the hospital after being hit by a vehicle in Pittsburgh's Homewood North neighborhood Saturday night.

Pittsburgh Public Safety officials said police and additional first responders were called to the 7400 block of Monticello Street for reports of a toddler being hit by a vehicle. Advertisement

Responders were called to the scene around 9 p.m.

The child was taken to the hospital in serious but stable condition.

Officials said the driver of the vehicle stayed on the scene and cooperated with police. Charges are not expected to be filed.
