LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The family of 34-year-old Airrice Clayton grieve his death in the front room of a family member's home. They share laughs and cry together.

Clayton has been identified by the coroner's office as the victim of a shooting at the Pointe at Stoneybrook apartment complex in Jeffersontown.

On Wednesday, police were called to the complex where they found Clayton sitting in a chair inside of an apartment and was not responding. The door to that apartment was open.

Police said Clayton had multiple gunshot wounds and was dead.

Clayton's mother, Alisha Clayton-Johnson, has lost her only son out of the three kids she has.

"It's unfair that this person decided to take my son's life," Clayton-Johnson said. "My son is and was loved. He didn't deserve it."
