It's time to cue up all the people who hate the Philadelphia Eagles ' Tush Push.
On a 4th-and-1 play in the second quarter another tush push controversy was born. Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts was pushing forward for a first down when he extended the ball forward. Giants linebacker Kayvon Thibodeaux knocked the ball loose and recovered the ball.
However, the play was called dead as Hurts' forward progress had stopped, and the play was dead, despite the whistle not being sounded yet.
Because the referees ruled that forward progress had stopped, the play couldn't be reviewed.
Kevin Burkhardt and Tom Brady both pointed out on the FOX broadcast that this is why the Tush Push is so frustrating.
