Shillong, Oct 25: In a significant breakthrough, the Shillong police have apprehended a serial harasser who was allegedly involved in a series of incidents of sexual harassment and stalking in public places.

The accused, identified as Tamdorlang Risaw, 42, a resident of Nongrah Block II, Shillong, was arrested on Saturday, at Tawang, Mawsynram.

The incidents, which took place at different locations around Laitumkhrah, were linked to the same individual and vehicle, a black Bolero bearing registration number ML05P 7884.

The earliest reported incident dates back to May 2025, near Don Bosco Square, Shillong, where the driver was alleged to have performed obscene acts in public view.
