NATCHITOCHES, La. (KALB) - On Sunday, October 26, Natchitoches Police Department reported an investigation into a homicide within the City of Natchitoches.

Officers arrived at the 1800 block of South Drive at around 9 p.m. on Saturday after they received reports of gunshots in that area. At the scene, officers said they found Eric Jackson, 58, of Natchitoches suffering from several gunshot wounds.

Jackson was later pronounced dead by the Natchitoches Parish Coroner’s office.

Officers said Stephanie Walker, 53, of Natchitoches approached them at the scene and said she was the one who shot Jackson.

Walker was interviewed by investigators, was charged with second degree murder and was booked into the Natchitoches Detention Center.
