ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, MICHIGAN, Mich. — Deputies are investigating after a hit-and-run crash left a man dead in St. Joseph County over the weekend.
According to the St. Joseph County Sheriff's Office, around 7:10 a.m. on Sunday, deputies responded to the area of US-12 and Burr Oak Road in Burr Oak Township for a report of an unresponsive person on the side of the road.
When they arrived, emergency medical personnel determined the person was dead, with preliminary findings showing they were hit by a vehicle.
The victim has been identified as Kayden Gruver, a 21-year-old man.
Deputies said the investigation is ongoing.
Investigators are asking the public for help finding the vehicle involved, which is believed to be a 2007-2015 GMC Sierra or Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck with front-end
