TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) - The Pima County Sheriff’s Department says a motorcyclist was killed in a crash on Catalina Highway Saturday, October 25.

The PCSD says 53-year-old Jorge Marcano was traveling down the mountain, when his rear wheel began to lose traction near milepost nine.

Witnesses told the PCSD the motorcycle flipped and Marcano was ejected and landed on the roadway.

He died at the scene.

Deputies say Marcano was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
