SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. —
An investigation is underway after officials say a fight led to gunshots being fired outside an apartment building close to Slippery Rock University's campus early Sunday morning.
According to a release from Pennsylvania State Police, officials responded to reports of shots being fired near Vineyard Circle in Slippery Rock Township. Officials were called to the scene just before 3 a.m. Advertisement
Through investigation, the release said, it was determined shots were fired near the fire pit within the University Village at Slippery Rock apartments.
The apartment complex, according to its official website , is only minutes away from Slippery Rock University and is said to be a hub for students wanting to live off-campus.
