CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Josh Allen and James Cook combined for four rushing touchdowns as the Buffalo Bills crushed the Carolina Panthers on Sunday.
Cook had 216 yards rushing and scored twice. The Bills had more rushing yards (245) than Carolina's total offense (244). Buffalo won 40-9, bolstered by a 16-point second quarter and a 21-point third quarter.
Andy Dalton started at quarterback for an injured Bryce Young (right ankle sprain) but proved ineffective. Dalton finished 16 of 24 for 175 yards and one interception. Dalton was sacked seven times.
The loss ends a three-game winning streak for the Panthers.
Carolina had more turnovers (3) than scoring drives (2), leading to a long day for Panthers fans. Dalton committed all three turnovers, throwing one interception and losing two fumbles
