HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — A woman was injured Sunday after she was struck by a vehicle in Hartford, according to the fire department.

At approximately 5:17 p.m., crews responded to the area of the Walmart Plaza on Flatbush Avenue.

Arriving crews found a woman, conscious and alert, lying on the ground. She received treatment on scene and was transported to the hospital. The extent of her injuries is unknown at this time.

The vehicle involved remained on scene and Hartford police are investigating the incident.
