Overnight, a Freeze Warning and a Frost Advisory are in effect across parts of the state as temperatures are expected to dip into the low and mid 30s by morning. The growing season will most likely come to an end across most of the state. See below for more info:
There will be a nor'easter-type storm Thursday into Friday with heavy rain, gusty winds, and coastal flooding, but it is too early for exact details and timing. As of now, the storm should pull away just in time for the Trick-or-Treaters (Friday Evening) in terms of rain and showers but it will remain windy!
We are watching Hurricane Melissa in the Caribbean and it's now a Major Hurricane (CAT 4) and it most likely will become a CAT 5 within the next 24 hours. Hispaniola and Jamaica will be devastated with feet of rain, flooding
