DETROIT, MI — Detroit starts the 2025 home season with a W.

The Pistons hosted the Boston Celtics for its NBA season home opener on Sunday, Oct. 26 at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit.

The Pistons (2-1) won, 119-113.

Boston didn’t go down easily, but Cunningham finished off his 25-point, eight-assist performance with eight points in the fourth quarter while Ausar Thompson continued his strong start to the season with 21 points and 12 rebounds in the victory.

The Celtics (0-3) rushed out to a double-digit lead in the first quarter behind Jaylen Brown’s hot start, going 4-of-5 from the field for 10 points as part of a 41-point night for the four-time All-Star guard.
