Desert Mission Food Bank is seeking donations and volunteers to help provide Thanksgiving meals to families in need this month.
Volunteers are needed for the Walk-up Turkey Distribution event on Saturday, Nov. 22. Bring a wagon, cart or just an extra set of hands to hand out Thanksgiving meals to local families. Meals include a frozen turkey, fresh produce and all the fixings.
The Walk-Up takes place on North Fourth Street outside of Desert Mission Food Bank, 9229 N. Fourth St. It begins at 7 a.m. and ends when all food is handed out.
The food bank will be closed on Thanksgiving and the following day, Nov. 26-27.
