OWENSBORO, Ky. (WEHT) -- People's concerns over the federal government shutdown have led to a local restaurant owner creating a special menu of discounted meals.
Lure seafood and grille will offer government workers who are laid off or working without pay and their families five special meals for $20
"We're basically paying it forward and trying to give a sense of normalcy to the people are community to work for the federal government and are either furloughed or are working without pay right now,” Owner Ben Skiadas said. “Sure they'll be getting backpay but not knowing when your next checks coming, makes you a little squirrely"
