The actress, who has shared the screen with many top stars in the past, has now started her second innings in Telugu cinema.

After signing a film with Megastar Chiranjeevi, she has now come on board for another big project.

Nayanthara is set to play the female lead opposite Nandamuri Balakrishna in a period drama directed by Gopichand Malineni and produced by Satish Kilari.

As exclusively reported earlier by Great Andhra, the film will have a historical backdrop, with Balakrishna appearing as a Maharaja.
