The San Francisco 49ers entered their Week 8 matchup on the road against the Houston Texans with a 5-2 record and as one of the best teams in the NFC. While many thought they would pull off a win over the previously 2-4 Texans, that wasn't the case.
When all was said and done and the final whistle was blown, the 49ers ended up losing by a final score of 26-15.
Nothing went right for San Francisco on the offensive side of the football all game long. With Brock Purdy out once again this week, Mac Jones did his best but simply couldn't put enough points on the board. He completed 19 of his 32 passes for 193 yards, two touchdowns, and an interception.
