BIG RAPIDS — The Michigan Tech Huskies soccer team stalled in a late October GLIAC contest, falling on the road to Ferris State, 3-0 at the Bulldog Soccer Field on Friday.
Michigan Tech (2-11-1, 2-7-1 GLIAC) played even with Ferris State (6-4-5, 6-3-2 GLIAC) in the opening half despite not producing shots on goal.
“I felt like we put together a really solid first half and controlled the tempo of the first 40 minutes. We were playing some of the best soccer we had all season,” said Huskies coach Melissa Kuhar.” But after giving up the first goal, we struggled to stick with our style of play, and Ferris State made us pay for our mistakes.
“We look to bounce back Sunday and try to get some critical points in conference play.”
The Bulldogs jumped ahead in the 40th minute with Katherine Wel
