NAPOLEON TWP, Mich. (WILX) - Two victims were located after a house fire in Napoleon Township early Sunday morning. The fire broke out at a home in the 6200 block of Brooklyn Rd, just off of M-50.
The Summit/Jackson Firefighters Union said Sunday on Facebook that firefighters with the Jackson Fire Department helped respond to the scene and were assigned to search for victims. Two victims were located inside the home. They assisted the Napoleon Township Fire Department at the scene along with Blackman-Leoni Twp, Grass Lake, Henrietta Twp, Liberty Twp and Columbia Twp firefighters. The Jackson County Disaster Assistance Response Team (J-DART) responded to the scene as well.
J-DART said Sunday that a City of Jackson Firefighter was able to rescue a family dog from the fire.
