Accompanied by the uplifting melody of "I Run For Life" by Melissa Etheridge, survivors of breast cancer and their supporters dressed ceremoniously in pink and walked arm in arm down the track of Hood College's Thomas Athletic Field on Sunday.

The survivor's walk was part of the Hurwitz Breast Cancer Fund's 17th annual Pink Ribbon 5K race, which brought together more than 600 race participants in support of breast cancer research and early detection of breast cancer.
