Indian left-arm seamer Arshdeep Singh provided an update on Shreyas Iyer after the experienced middle-order star endured a rib cage injury during the third and final One-Day International of the series against Australia on Saturday (October 25).

Having seen Iyer from close quarters since the mishap at the SCG, Arshdeep, who didn’t play the third ODI, said during a Q&A session with his Snapchat followers that he was “recovering well and will be back very soon."

Fielding in the deep, Iyer sprinted backwards, dived and completed an excellent catch off the bat of wicketkeeper Alex Carey at a crucial point during the Australian innings.
