LINCOLN, Ala. ( WBRC ) - A firefighter in east Alabama was injured while responding to a house fire in east Alabama Sunday night.
The Lincoln Fire Department said the call came in at around 11:30 for a fire in the 700 block of Eastland Drive in the Eastland Shores Community.
As multiple agencies were responding to the large residential fire, flames could be seen out of the top of the home when firefighters arrived on the scene.
While the family was able to make it out of the home, one Lincoln firefighter was transported to Citizen’s Hospital in Talladega because of smoke inhalation. According to officials, the firefighter seems stable.
The home itself has been deemed a total loss.
There is currently no word on how the fire started.
