A dangerous crash in Adelaide, which was caught on camera, has prompted a call for all CBD speed zones to be dropped to 40 kilometres an hour.
The footage shows a vehicle travelling down Gilbert Street, accompanied by the sound of screeching tyres.
The car then swerved, appearing to lose control, before spinning across a footpath and overturning.
"We heard this enormous thump, it was really bad. And we all raced out," a local resident said.
The driver, a 21-year-old from Daveron Park, and his passenger escaped the vehicle through the sunroof. They suffered only minor injuries.
When contacted by 9News, the driver's father said his son is in hospital, and that he didn't mean to cause the crash.
"Maybe the road was too slippery and windy… so that might be the reason," he said.
