New Delhi: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath addressed a gathering at the Smriti Mahotsav Mela 2025 on Monday, October 27. The Adityanath-led government has been known for renaming several cities and railway stations since the BJP came to power in Uttar Pradesh.
In addition to the list, the UP CM proposed renaming Mustafabad village in Lakhimpur Kheri district to ‘Kabirdham.’ This decision aimed to restore the village’s historical and cultural identity.
As per Yogi, the change would restore the area’s historical and cultural identity associated with Sant Kabir. He also added that this decision was in line with the government’s renaming of other villages or cities previously.
