New Delhi: Team India head coach Gautam Gambhir is not worried about T20I skipper Suryakumar Yadav’s rough patch and has backed the star batter to continue India’s ‘ultra-aggressive’ approach in the shortest format. Gambhir believes failures are inevitable when the team wants to play a certain brand of cricket.

Suryakumar was far from his best in the Asia Cup 2025, where he managed only 72 runs in six innings at an abysmal strike rate of 101.40 and an average of 18. He had a forgetful outing with the bat in the tournament, but managed to lift the trophy as captain after a stellar display from his team.
