New Delhi: Team India star Shreyas Iyer is reportedly out of the ICU, and his condition remains delicate but stable as he continues his recovery after sustaining a rib cage injury during the 3rd ODI against Australia on Saturday, October 25. Iyer sustained an injury in his left lower rib cage while trying to complete an acrobatic catch during the game.

He pulled off a stunner to dismiss Alex Carey during Australia’s innings, but ended up hurting himself severely after an awkward fall. Iyer was attended by the Indian team’s physio and left the field immediately after the injury. He was taken to a hospital in Sydney, where scans revealed a laceration injury to the spleen.
