TYLER, Texas (KLTV) - It was all treats and plenty of fun at Mike Carter Field as the Tyler Junior College baseball team hosted its annual Halloween at Home Plate event.

Kids came dressed in their Halloween costumes, enjoyed candy, and met the players — who later took the field themselves for a costumed scrimmage. The event also featured a trunk-or-treat with participation from various TJC departments. TJC Athletic Director Doug Wren said the Halloween celebration has become a fan favorite on campus.

“This is something we’ve done for quite a few years now,” Wren said. “I believe this is the fourth year we’ve teamed up with Lauren Tyler and some other entities on campus to put on a great trunk or treat. And then obviously the baseball players being able to play in costume — it’s a great c
