(BCN) -- Monday calls for mostly clear and sunny skies in the Bay Area, according to the National Weather Service.

Daytime highs will be in the mid 60s to low 70s on the coast, high 60s to low 70s around the bay, and high 60s to mid 70s inland. Overnight lows will be mostly in the low to mid 50s, with some interior areas dropping into the upper 40s.

Rain showers that moved through the Bay Area over the weekend have ended, and forecasters say dry, mild weather will take over Monday as high pressure builds across the region.

According to the NWS, some low clouds remain but are expected to clear by midday as drier air moves in.
