Pro Football Hall of Famer Antonio Gates reportedly hosted and played in a rigged Miami poker game organized by Curtis Meeks , one of the people indicted in the massive gambling scandal linked to the NBA last week, podcaster Pablo Torre reported on Sunday (October 26).
"Pro Football Hall-of-Famer and former Chargers tight end Antonio Gates hosted — and played in — an allegedly rigged Miami poker game, sources with direct knowledge tell @pablofindsout , that was organized by Curtis Meeks. Meeks was indicted by the federal government Thursday," Torre wrote on his X account.
Torre's reported came one day after the New York Post reported that Meeks and his accomplices used "an ex-NFL player" as their front man to scam a victim out of $1 million in a single night.
