President Trump said on Monday that he would "love to meet" with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un during his trip to Asia this week.
“I’d love to meet with him if he’d like to meet. I got along great with Kim Jong Un. I liked him. He liked me,” Trump told reporters aboard Air Force One while en route to Japan. “If he wants to meet, I’ll be in South Korea.”
Trump added he would be willing to extend his trip to meet with the North Korean leader.
Trump’s comments come after he said on Friday that he would be open to meeting with the North Korean leader, who he famously first met in 2019.
