Federal authorities are offering a $100,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of a man accused of stealing mail in Jersey City.
The U.S. Postal Inspection Service released photos of a man they say impersonated a postal service letter carrier and stole mail from an apartment building at 311 Sip Avenue on July 25.
The suspect is also linked to other mail thefts from Jersey City apartment buildings, according to the inspection service.
Officials did not say how he accessed apartment mailboxes in order to steal the mail.
Anyone with information about the thief is asked to contact the U.S. Postal Inspection Service at 1-877-876-2455. Callers should say “law enforcement” when prompted and reference case number 4141894-MT.
