It was quite unusual for any aircraft logbook, which is mainly meant for recording aircraft safety details from takeoff to landing, noting minor glitches, passenger complaints, and mentioning any untoward incidents during the flight.
But an Air India flight bound for Dubai from Delhi on October 24 had an unexpected guest. Flight AI 315 took off, and a few minutes later, a passenger noticed a cockroach on board. He informed the cabin crew, who immediately responded and addressed the issue.
The crew also mentioned it in the official cabin defect logbook of the aircraft. The log entry read, “Cockroach found alive by guest – cockroach hanged until death.”
