Two Early-Morning Accidents Reported in Cherokee County

Cherokee County – Emergency crews responded to two separate traffic accidents reported around 6 a.m. Monday in Cherokee County.

The first accident occurred on County Road 55 near County Road 19 in the Mount Wisner community and involved what appeared to be a rollover vehicle. When the Mount Wisner Fire Department arrived, responders found no one at the scene. The vehicle was located off the road in a field. An investigator from the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to investigate.

At nearly the same time, a second accident was reported on County Road 48 near the intersection with County Road 49, where a vehicle had left the roadway and struck a tree. Sand Rock Fire Department responded to the scene, but no driver or p
