ANN ARBOR, MI — Ann Arbor Public Schools officials say they’re lining up a lengthy list of solutions and next steps to build stronger relationships with students after respondents in a districtwide survey brought to their attention perceived gaps in equity and communication.

The district intends, among other plans, to establish a student advisory committee, focus on staff training and make clearer protocols for reporting harassment, discrimination or other issues, leaders said.

Results of a climate and culture survey conducted with thousands of students, parents and staff last spring were shared with Ann Arbor School Board members Wednesday , Oct. 22.
