Kishtwar, Oct 27: A five-member expert team from the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Airport Authority of India (AAI) will reach Kishtwar on a two-day visit to evaluate the proposed airport site under the Government of India’s UDAN scheme.
According to Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh, in a post on X, the team will review the feasibility and existing infrastructure before submitting its report to the higher authorities in Delhi. The findings will guide the next phase of the airport development plan.
Dr. Singh added that the project is part of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s broader vision to bring air connectivity and infrastructural growth to remote areas of Jammu and Kashmir. (KNC)
