Trinity QB Mason Boyer accounted for three touchdowns in the Shamrocks’ final game of the season.
As it turned out, the Shamrocks needed every last one of those scores, as they eked out a 28-27 win over division rival Middletown Friday night.
Boyer tied the game in the first quarter, using his legs to get into the end zone. He then evened the score again in the second, this time on a 14-yard toss to Maddox Jarzynski.
With about 10 minutes to go in the game, Boyer again hit Jarzynski for what would prove to be the game-winning TD.
Boyer finished the night 16-for-23 passing for 223 yards and two TDs, to go along with his rushing touchdown.
That performance earned Boyer the title of Constellation Player of the Week.
