Kyle Katarn is one of the greatest inventions of Star Wars ‘ long gaming history. A gung-ho smuggler without a cause turned into a flawed, but persevering Jedi since he made his debut in the iconic shooter Dark Forces 30 years ago, Kyle has found his place in Star Wars superseded by the twilighting of the Expanded Universe, and is perhaps one of the more notable elements to have not crossed over into the revised continuity in some way. But canon or not, for his 30th birthday he’s getting the action figure he’s long deserved.
