Jammu, Oct 27: S ecurity forces foiled a major narcotics smuggling attempt in Jammu district, recovering over 5 kg of heroin dropped by a Pakistani drone. The seized heroin, valued at more than Rs 25 crore, was found near the Jatinder border outpost in the R.S. Pura sector along the International Border (IB).

The joint operation by the Border Security Force (BSF) and J&K Police began around 6 a.m. after a Pakistani drone was spotted hovering over Indian territory. Officials confirmed that two bags containing 10 packets of heroin, weighing a total of 5.3 kg, were recovered, effectively thwarting a significant smuggling attempt.
