NISKAYUNA — There will be two guaranteed fresh faces on the five-person Niskayuna Town Board come January, with four first-time candidates competing for a pair of open seats on the board during the Nov. 4 balloting.

A pair of incumbent board members — Democrat John Della Ratta and Republican Jason Moskowitz — are not seeking new four-year terms on the board, with and Moskowitz opting not to pursue a third-party run after . Moskowitz, who is currently the sole Republican on the board, said on Thursday that he is endorsing the Democratic candidates this November.
