Westchester Medical Center will receive up to $100 million in state funding to support its takeover of Bon Secours Charity Health and Health Alliance of the Hudson Valley, state officials said.
The state-taxpayer supported aid is part of a $2.6 billion statewide program aimed at improving the quality of care at safety net hospitals and stabilizing their operations, Gov. Kathy Hochul said during a tour of Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla.

State officials said Westchester Medical Center and its parent organization, WMCHealth Network, will use the state funds to support its integration of the two other health systems. The overall network provided care for hundreds of thousands of patients across the region.
