SRINAGAR : The Jammu Kashmir Government has said that a total of 17,953 posts, 2,960 gazetted and 14,993 non-gazetted, are presently vacant across departments in the Union Territory. In a written reply in the Legislative Assembly, the Government said it has taken “concrete measures” to expedite the process of filling these vacancies through digitised and transparent recruitment systems. According to the General Administration Department, all administrative departments have been instructed to refer available vacancies to recruiting agencies well in advance and to ensure that procedural bottlenecks are removed. Recruitment processes are being handled through the Jammu Kashmir Public Service Commission and the Jammu Kashmir Services
