Eggs distributed across at least three states are being recalled for potentially being contaminated with salmonella.

The Food and Drug Administration issued a recall for 12 and 18-count cartons of eggs distributed by Black Sheep Egg Company of Walnut Ridge, Ark., of its “Company-branded Free Range Large Grade A Brown Eggs with Best By dates of Aug. 22 through Oct. 31 on the side of the carton.

Black Sheep Egg Company distributed its eggs, with UPC codes 860010568507 and 860010568538, across Arkansas and Missouri.

The FDA warns these eggs may have been repackaged and sold across other states.

" FDA is aware that recalled product could still be in people’s homes," the recall states.
