The Supreme Court on Monday granted bail to three persons accused in the violence that broke out in Uttar Pradesh’s Sambhal district in November 2024 during a court-ordered survey of a mosque, Live Law reported.
A bench of Justices PS Narasimha and R Mahadevan issued the order granting bail to Danish, Faizan and Nazir after taking into account that the investigation into the violence had been completed and a chargesheet filed, ANI reported.
The Supreme Court also noted that the three men had been in jail since 2024, India Today reported.
All three of them had earlier been denied bail by the Allahabad High Court.
